I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
